My grandfather’s name was Vasiligiannis; he was a stonemason and built this house. Driven by passion and pride, I have restored this magnificent gem in the heart of Epirus and am offering it to you for a perfect stay. Enjoy the fresh air and excursions to the surrounding attractions, as well as those you’re already familiar with.

A place where you can enjoy a wonderful night’s sleep and explore the nearby areas on lovely walks. The area is absolutely stunning, offering unspoilt trails, whilst nearby you’ll find Agios Nikolaos and the Peristeri Cave. The house has all the amenities you need to truly enjoy your stay for as long as you wish.

The nearest supermarket is about a 10-minute drive away, whilst within a similar distance you’ll find lovely tavernas and restaurants for dining, as well as petrol stations.

Our accommodation, set in the heart of nature, can comfortably accommodate up to six people. There is a bedroom with a double bed and a sofa bed next to it. The living room and kitchen form an open-plan space with a sofa bed and a traditional ‘basi’ sofa where two more people can sleep, whilst there is also a separate bathroom. We have all the electrical appliances you’ll need—from a dishwasher and microwave to a tumble dryer and washing machine. Put simply, it’s a place that can accommodate a family for several days without any worries.

Surrounding area

The house is surrounded by grounds of approximately 800 square metres, to which guests have full access. The grounds feature an outdoor barbecue, trees and lovely spots to relax. Naturally, guests also have access to all the interior areas of the house.

The man in this photograph is my grandfather, Vasiligiannis. He was the man who built this house with his own hands, a stonemason full of passion and sincerity. This is where he raised his family, and it is from him that our guesthouse takes its name, ‘Vasiligiannis Estate’. Vasiligiannis was a nickname of the time: Vasilis, son of Giannis, as the locals called him.

After the loss of my father, who had also been striving to keep it alive, I took up the baton. The house was once on the verge of collapse, but day by day, I renovated it and brought it back to life. Today, I want to share this authenticity with the world, to showcase the beauty of our village, which is every bit as good as anywhere else.

And so, the history of Vasiligianni lives on in this guesthouse, a house built with passion, restored with respect, and now welcoming all those who wish to discover the true beauty of our region.
